These are outlet items purchased at the John Lobb factory in Northampton, England.
There are scratches, but the leather is in good condition.

It's made of very high-quality, soft calfskin that is thick yet flexible like rubber. Therefore, it's less likely to cause blisters even when worn for the first time.
It's like the calfskin version of Alden's cordovan.
It's different from the thin, crisp calfskin of JM Weston.
Because it's soft, I think it's less durable. It's also prone to scratches. That's why I think there are many used items with the leather in poor condition.
This item has scratches and leather lifting due to water, but the overall suppleness of the leather maintains the condition it was in when new.
